Think of the Career Connection Center as a helpdesk for Genesee County students looking for assistance with career planning. High school seniors and recent graduates (within one year) can access resources and expertise to help guide their career planning steps and decisions.

The Career Connection Center’s services include:

  • Support with the college admissions process;
  • Links to apprenticeship and skilled trades programs;
  • Details on how apply for and use the Genesee Opportunity (GO) stipend;
  • Leads to financial aid opportunities'
  • Coaching for resume and interview prep;
  • Assessment of career interests; and
  • Tips for developing employability skills.

The Career Connection Center is provided by the Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) through the Genesee Opportunity program. Visit the Genesee Opportunity (GO) website to learn how the GO stipend helps pay for college and career credential costs for graduates of Genesee County high schools. Be sure to also visit other areas of this Beyond Graduation website, which provides career and college information and resources for Genesee County residents, ages 14-26.
